About the Brand

Prickly Pearl Mercantile was born out of a life lived slow and close to the land in the Texas Hill Country, where Kate spends her days baking from scratch with foraged native plants like prickly pears and persimmons, and getting her hands dirty in creative endeavors. That same instinct for things built to last, worn-in, and full of story is what drives every piece she brings into the shop.

Kate has always been drawn to objects with history — a stamped concho belt, a fur coat that's seen many winters, a leather satchel softened by someone else's hands. Every piece in the Mercantile is chosen the way she'd choose something for her own home: with an eye for craftsmanship, a nose for the real thing, and a soft spot for the worn and weathered.

From Southwestern jewelry to vintage leather goods and thrifted pieces with a western flair, Prickly Pearl Mercantile is a collection meant to be lived in, not just looked at — a little rugged, a little romantic, and rooted, like the plant it's named for, in the wild, dry beauty of the land it comes from.
